This is where I'll be putting all my wine reviews, I attend a huge number of tastings each year, some great some not so. I know what you're thinking 'what's not to like about a wine tasting?' Well it's not as easy as all that, yes, poor me, I have to go to a lovely place, usually in London and taste some of the best wines in the world. But believe me it's hard work tasting over 100 wines in a session, some of which can be extremely average. At a recent supermarket tasting there were over 200 wines, many of which I was glad to spit out.
I'll be reporting on trends in the business and most of my reviews will be of wines that are easily available in most local supermarkets or off licences as this is where most of us buy most of the wine sold in the UK.

Lastly a note on my scoring. All the wines of the week come with a Drinker Rating, this is a mark out of 100 that not only evaluates how I assess the quality of the wine but also factors in a value for money element.
